It won't open
Usually a broken spring. It feels like a disaster, but it is a standard repair for a licensed tech. It is not one to try yourself.

It won't close
Often the little safety sensors near the floor, and sometimes that costs you nothing at all — a wipe and a nudge and it closes.

The button does nothing
Check the wall button and make sure the opener is still plugged in first. Sometimes it really is the outlet.

One side dropped
Usually a cable, though it can also be a drum, a spring or impact damage. Either way the door is carrying weight unevenly now.

It's crooked or came off
We are not going to put a number on this one without seeing it.

The one thing that matters right now: stop pressing the opener, because every push can move you from the first number to the second. Send a photo if you can; it helps us see what we are dealing with before we come.
I want a new door
A single door installed usually runs $700–$2,700. A double more often lands between $1,000 and $3,500.

The price comes first.
You have probably heard the stories. Somebody advertises a $39 spring, shows up, and an hour later the bill is nine hundred dollars. That is not how this works here.
We look at the door, we tell you what is wrong, and you get the price before any repair starts. If the price does not work for you, we pack up and leave.
And if we find something after the work starts that changes the job or the price, we stop, show you what changed, and get your okay before we do anything more.

- 1. You call or text. Tell us what the door is doing. That usually points us at what broke before we even get there.
- 2. We come look. We show you the part that failed. You get to see it, not just hear about it.
- 3. You get the price. Before the repair starts. You say yes or you say no, and either one is fine.
- 4. We do the work you approved and tell you straight if a part has to be ordered.
Questions people actually ask
Can you tell me the price over the phone?
Describe what the door is doing and we can usually give you a range. We do not give a firm price until we have seen the door, because until then we would be guessing, and a guess is how people end up surprised at the end.
Do you charge just to come out?
Ask when you call and we will tell you before we come. There is never a charge you did not agree to first.
How fast can you get here?
Depends on the day and where you are in the valley. We will tell you a real window on the phone instead of saying yes to everything.
Are you actually licensed?
