It won't open
Usually a broken spring. It feels like a disaster, but it is a standard repair for a licensed tech. It is not one to try yourself.

It won't close
Often the little safety sensors near the floor, and sometimes that costs you nothing at all — a wipe and a nudge and it closes.

The button does nothing
Check the wall button and make sure the opener is still plugged in first. Sometimes it really is the outlet.

Why we will not quote you sight unseen
Because we would be guessing, and a guess is exactly how people end up surprised at the end. Two doors that look identical from the street can need very different work. What we can do is tell you the honest range on the phone once you describe what is happening, and give you the firm number once we have actually looked.
What we will never do to you
- Advertise a price we have no intention of honouring. The $39 spring that becomes a $900 bill is the oldest trick in this trade, and it is why the Better Business Bureau runs a standing warning about garage door companies.
- Start work before you have agreed to a number. You hear the price first. Every time.
- Change the price quietly. If we open something up and find more, we stop, show you, and wait for your okay before we carry on.

Is the estimate free?
The range on this page is free and asks you for nothing. For a visit: ask us on the phone whether there is a trip or diagnostic charge and we will tell you the number before we come out. There is never a charge you did not agree to first.
Why not just publish your exact prices?
Because a real price depends on your door. Damage varies, so we would rather give you an honest range now and a quote after we inspect your door.
Can you tell me over the phone?
Usually yes, within a range. Describe what the door is doing and what you hear, and that gets us most of the way there.
